Overcoming the Lies That Limit You

“That story kept you safe once. But now it’s time to grow.”

The stories you inherited aren’t the ones you have to keep living

We all carry scripts we never chose. Maybe yours said: “Be quiet to stay safe,” or “Only perfect people are worthy,” or “Money is earned through struggle, not joy.” These beliefs often sound like your own thoughts, but they aren’t—they’re borrowed. And it’s time to give them back.

The first step in overcoming these limitations is naming them. Name the lie. Say it aloud. “I’ve been told I have to earn my worth.” “I’ve believed my creativity isn’t valuable.” “I thought success meant sacrificing myself.”

Now, ask: Is that still true?
If your future self—wild, free, successful—could speak to you, would she agree? Or would she gently say, “That story kept you safe once. But now it’s time to grow.”

You don’t need to fight the old beliefs. Just stop feeding them. Replace them with truths you choose.

Reframe this today:
Old belief: “I’m not consistent enough to succeed.”
New truth: “My rhythm is unique. My flow is sacred. I build slowly, and beautifully.”

Prompt:
What belief do you need to release to make room for your truth?
