Moving Through Fear, Not Around It

Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s intimacy with it
Most of us are taught to avoid fear. To wait until we’re “ready,” “brave,” or “sure.” But fear doesn’t vanish when you delay your dreams. It just moves into the driver’s seat.
Here’s the truth: you don’t need to eliminate fear. You need to move with it. Fear is not your enemy—it’s the part of you that wants to stay safe. Talk to it. Thank it. But don’t let it hold the map.
Try this next time fear arises:
Name it. “This is fear, not failure.”
Locate it. Where is it in your body? Breathe there.
Love it. Say, “I see you. I’m choosing movement anyway.”
Courage doesn’t feel like boldness. It feels like trembling and still stepping forward.
Prompt:
What would I do today if I trusted fear was a doorway, not a wall?
